Single Tooth Dental Implants – Livonia, MI

Strong, Beautiful, & Seamless Tooth Replacement

Beautiful smile

Are you missing a single tooth? If so, you may have prolonged getting a replacement because it’s just one tooth, right? Unfortunately, even a single lost tooth can cause more issues than just a gap in your smile. Teeth rely on each other for support, so when one is lost, the rest can become misaligned. Additionally, your teeth provide your jaw with stimulation that keeps it strong, however losing a tooth takes away some of this stimulation, causing bone deterioration. This problem can even eventually lead to more missing teeth.

Thankfully, At SAAV Prosthodontics, we offer a dental implant as a single tooth replacement that completes your smile and preserves your jaw with the potential to last a lifetime. Keep reading to learn more about this amazing option.

Why Choose SAAV Prosthodontics for Single Tooth Dental Implants?

Dental Implant Placement

The dental implant process is completed over multiple stages. First, we will carefully examine your mouth to treat any preexisting issues before beginning. Then, we will ensure you’re numb and comfortable so we can get started. We will make a small incision if your gums where you’re missing a tooth to access the bone. Next, we will create a tiny hole in your jaw for the placement of your implant. Once placed, we must allow at least 3 to 4 months for osseointegration—a process that fuses the implant to your bone.

Abutments & Dental Crown

Once your implant has healed and is completely fused with your bone and gums, you’ll return to our office. We will attach a small connector called an abutment, which will allow us to mount your custom-made dental crown. After, we’ll take impressions of your smile to create your dental crown. These impressions are sent to a lab, and during this short waiting period, we will give you a temporary crown to maintain appearance.

Lastly, once we receive your dental crown from the lab, you’ll return to our office. We will remove your temporary crown and ensure that you’re happy with your personalized restoration before permanently mounting it on top of your implant. The restoration is made of high-quality dental porcelain, which is relatively stain-resistant, allowing you to enjoy a bright white smile for years to come. Additionally, dental porcelain mimics the way your natural teeth reflect light, allowing for a seamless and beautiful replacement.
